Unfortunately because Mother Nature has been so fickle, everything is now two weeks behind. Fortunately the ground finally dried out, the rain stopped coming and we were able to enjoy some 50 degree days again. Over the past two days the Hohenstein and Wiest families have been busy out in the field. The tractor was tilling the ground while someone followed behind it and planted many different seeds...radishes, peas, beets, carrots, lettuce, spinach, swiss chard and a whole lot of potatoes...oh my! We are about 75% done with planting all of the cold season seeds and are acclimating the remaining plants to be moved into the freshly tilled earth as the rain waters our freshly planted seeds.
